PredictLand designs a solution for reverse waste logistics with a triple impact on economic, environmental and circular economy sustainability for a consulting firm that serves more than 1,500 companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pronet ISE<\/a>, a company specialized in computer systems and specialized consultancy for selective waste management and Circular Economy. It has carried out regulatory compliance projects in selective waste management, RAP regulations, for more than 1,500 companies. It is present in Spain, Colombia and Ecuador. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Challenge<\/h2>\n\n

There is great complexity in managing the reverse logistics of waste generated by commercial products, as they are produced at the end of their life cycle and it is very difficult to determine this life cycle. Pronet ISE needs to optimize the waste collection process and achieve an impact of economic, environmental and circular economy sustainability. <\/p>\n\n

Solution<\/h2>\n\n

PredictLand has developed an Artificial Intelligence solution for waste generation forecasting by typology and collection center, which indicates the forecast of the level of filling of the containers, and thus optimize the collection. Data on product characteristics, collection centers, locations, etc. were considered. <\/p>\n\n

Results<\/h2>\n\n

With the results Pronet ISE expects to achieve a forecast of the generation of different types of waste, determine the characteristics of the optimal collection center and the number of containers per center and minimize costs and CO2 emissions.<\/p>\n\n

Triple impact on sustainability:<\/p>\n\n

    \n
  1. Minimization of the cost per kg of waste managed (economic sustainability objective).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Minimization of the ratio Kg of CO2 generated per Kg managed (environmental sustainability objective).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Maximization of the circularity of the waste obtained (circular economy objective).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n
    \n\n

    The project, called OPTIWASTE, has been supported by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, as well as by the European Union through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan; and has received funding from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism within the support program for AEIs to contribute to improving the competitiveness of Spanish industry.<\/p>\n\n
