PredictLand designs an Artificial Intelligence system for the detection of quality defects and their correlation with the manufacturing process, for the multinational company CEFA, supplier of Stellantis, Mercedes, Stellantis, Seat\/Volkswagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

CEFA, with more than 70 years of history, is a leading company in the development and production of components for the automotive industry based primarily on plastic injection molding technology. MRA, part of the CEFA group, specializes in the development and production of interior panels for the automotive industry using the latest injection molding technologies. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Challenge<\/h2>\n\n

CEFA \/ MRA’s quality department monitors the incidents and quality defects of the resulting parts. The ultimate goal is to reduce raw material and energy consumption as a consequence of eliminating manufacturing defects. To this end, we try to identify in which part or parts of the process the causes of the manufacturing defect originate and act in advance. <\/p>\n\n

Solution<\/h2>\n\n

An Artificial Intelligence system for the prediction of quality defects and their correlation with the manufacturing process.<\/p>\n\n

Data relating to manufacturing orders, process traceability of each machine, quality data, manufacturing processes, environmental conditions and energy consumption have been used.<\/p>\n\n

With the results obtained CEFA, MRA expects:<\/p>\n\n

    \n
  • 30% reduction in the KWh\/kg raw material processed indicator<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • To have a predictive system that allows reducing scrap and, therefore, increasing the efficiency of the process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
    \n\n

    The project, called OPTIPROCESPLASTIC, has been supported by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, as well as by the European Union through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan; and has received funding from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism within the support program for AEIs to contribute to improving the competitiveness of Spanish industry.<\/p>\n\n
